Will Far Cry 2 need an excellent graphic card

I was going through an article in gamespot when i just realised that far cry 2 so much more than CRYSIS m talking bout the technical aspects, like when u r hit by a bullet u will have to pierce out with a knife, the realistic wera and tear of the weapons, enemies taking a nap and reacting differently depending on their energy..And also the use of a compass and map to survive..Far Cry 2 is built on the graphics engine DUNIA which means world..And as name suggests the game does provide everything that the world can offer..So my qustion is will 8800GT be good eonugh to play far cry 2 like Crysis or do u think that Far Cry would need a 9 series card or even 8800GTS??Will Far Cry 2 need an excellent graphic card
There's no infos about spec come out yet. Will Far Cry 2 need an excellent graphic card
it should play good on an 8800gt, if not ubisoft will pay

I highly doubt it will be any more tasking than Crysis, probably less so.
Probably wont look as good as Crysis but will run better/same.
i think it will be less demanding than crysis. i have heard people saying crysis is the most demanding game and will be for quite some time. and yeah, if you got an 8800 gt, no worries.
If ubisoft wanted to f*** themselves over then yes, it would need a 9 series card. It's coming for the 360 so hell, I bet it can use a late 7 series. For this game, it's the proccessor and RAM that really counts.
If it'd indeed the CPU and RAM that counts, would it be worth upgrading my CPU (in sig) to a Phenom Quad Core? I can always add another 8800GT if neccesary, just wondering if both would be required or just the one.

There are few games out there that when played above 1280*1024 will show more than a few frames differnce between dual core and quad core processors regardless of speed, cache, or FSB.
Far Cry 2 is going to be on 360, 360 can't handle Crysis, so Im assuming if you can run Crysis you can definitally run Far Cry 2, then again all the media we have seen on FC2 has been from the PC version, so the Console version may look like crap.
