trouble starting chronicles of riddick

I bought this game yest developer's cut version..It installs well..then when i tried to run this game nothing happens..Later i updated the game to 1.1 and ya i have got the right patch..i was also able to patch the game..Now only the first the screen comes and it sits there foever..Guys/gals pls help:(..Btw my comp specs are E6750 2.66GZ,4GBRAM,8600GT 512MB
