Which shall I buy?The Witcher or UT3?
RPGs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FPSs60hours long>>>>>>>>>>>>>9hours longThe Witcher or UT3?
The Witcher can become repetitive if you compare it to other rpg's but overall the coolness factor is there for some new things never done before.UT3 scales ok, but its a beast hog if you want decent graphics. Otherwise, consider it like GoW below 1024 res. Pixelated poop. ^__^I would go Witcher.

Oblivion and Morrowind namely, then of course the ever popular Neverwinter Nights 2. Then Fable of course.

Oblivion and Morrowind weren't repetative!!!???   All the missions are fetch this item or raid this dungeon and kill someone/something. The main quests in Oblivion are shut down the Oblivion gateNwN 2 is as repetative as the Witcher (and I don't think that The Witcher is repetative)Fable's combat was very repetativeThe Witcher wasn't repetative at all
Take The Witcher. UT3 is a well optimized rehash and nothing more.
Kane, in The Witcher. All the missions are kill this monster, ask this person for something- kill whatever is bothering them, deliver this, light this candle, etc. Oblivion was truly open ended as was Morrowind. The Witcher, is certainly not. And compared to Fable, there aren't nearly as many combinations of what you can become. There is no stealth or guile, no lightning bolts, and your ''signs,'' aren't even really all that powerful. I applaud the Witcher for its other qualities. But certainly not groundbreaking originality.
if you pikc up UT3 add kaosswede to your xfire we can play sometime. Witcher is good but UT3 is just rly fun mp to it =D
Witcher - SPUT3 - MP
RPGs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FPSs60hours long>>>>>>>>>>>>>9hours long
I love The Witcher, but your logic is clearly flawed in this specific case. Me and most other people playing UT3 will probably put a lot more than 9 hours into it.
At the risk of sounding like a company shill, i ended up buying both games. Gogamer.com has UT for $35 and The Witcher for $30. The Witcher is on special so it'll probably be gone in a few days. I picked up my copy of the Witcher at EB, though i kinda regret buying it there instead of buying the imported version....but meh, not that big of a deal.
RPGs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>FPSs60hours long>>>>>>>>>>>>>9hours long
sorry but ur stupidity made me lol. UT 9 hours?? lawl. More like 500 (3000 in my case). haha. wow.
Maybe it's just me but I did't found much replay value in it... i also liked Fable but most of its choices leaded to similar consequences or hadn't consequences at all...
I can't disagree more...Oblivion = 0 repetativeMorrowind = a lot better then Oblivion but is it indeed highly repetative?
Actually both are very repetative no matter how you look at them.
Please stop this nonsense. It is making my head hurt.Very few games are actually not repetative. No matter what it will most always be the same controls, and combat will ALWAYS have repetitions. I challenge anyone to find a game where combat is constantly changing. Go on.
The Witcher wins hands down for me but it depends on if you want multiplayer or not.
