In-game screenshots

I was wondering how can I take in-game screenshots and save them to my computer?thx in advance :)In-game screenshots
Alot of games have screenshot built in. Usually uses ''print screen'' key, then its just a matter of going to destination folder. If not download a program called FRAPS (just google it). You can take videos and screenshots ingame with this program.In-game screenshots
thx fr the program. but about the ''print screen'' key, after I press the button and take the photo how can I save it to a foloder. in photoshop I used to press ctrl+v to paste the taken screen shots but that doeesn't seem to work when I want to save it in a folder.
If the game has a built in screenshot function, it will save the screenshot in a folder, usually in the game folder. When using fraps u can choose where the picture will be saved. Then once u have taken the pics simply start photo shop and browse the folder they have been saved to.I hope this explains it and sorry if i missunderstood what you meant.
Well if the game has a built-in screenshot tool (which you'll find out by looking at the key bindings) they'll normally go under the game's root folder or in a folder called Screenshots somewhere in the game's folder.Otherwise, if it isn't binded (and you don't use a program like x-fire or fraps) you'll need to paste the image into something like paint/photoshop and save it manually to a folder.Edit: Beat me :P
k thx. I didn't understand how to find if there is a built-in screenshot tool or not, but that ain't important I'll just try and see if the game will save the screenshots in a folder or not. or I'll just use fraps. :)k thx guys :D
if the game has a built in screenshot thing it will have it in key bindings, in the options or look in the game manual. Just look i nkey bindings in the games options, if there is a key bound to a screenshot then just press it when playing. Then check the games folder when u finished.
haha I just understood what keybindings means lol I'm sorry I'm still new to PC gaming :lol:thx alot
haha I just understood what keybindings means lol I'm sorry I'm still new to PC gaming :lol:thx alot
lol no worries, i have been a pc amer for a few years and still dont know about half the things people talk about.
GET xfire, that program rocks.....
Ctrl+PrintScreen--goes right to the desktop
SnagIt 8 is a great program for SS.. They offer a 30 day trial too.
print screen,FRAPS allows you as well, xfire does and shows them online.
On a side note, if the screenshot (using a game's built-in system) doesnt go to the game folder, it will often go to folder in My Documents. For example, when I take a pic in Crysis using F12 key, the pic goes here:c:\documents and settings\my name\my documents\my games\crysis\ScreenShotsMost games that store files in the My Documents folder will do this method, such as Oblivion, Stalker, GTA, etc.
