I remember when i was about 10 years old the first testdrive game was released... i played the game for 6 hours non stop until my mother came into my room and beat me up:D . I got my first color monitor and i remember i played duke nukem 3d in front of my dad and got a nice tight slap on the face for watching the movie in the game . I remember getting a gameboy with legend of zelda: links awakening which to this day is my favorite game. I played that game any time i was outside of my house. As for pc gaming, one christmas morning I came down to see a pc sitting there and my dad got me to come sit with him in front of it and showed me x-wing vs tie fighter and i was instantly addicted to that game.
I remember when I was 7, I got Star Trek: 25th Anniversary for the PC (way back in '92)......that game was a trip, could never survive the final space battle though :(DN3D though....damn....that consumed me.....(anyone remember the exp. pack 'Duke It Out in DC' ??) along w/X-Wing %26 TIE Fighter.......Ahh......to be young again.....lol
I always remember going to buy a new game, paying about ?.99 for a game on a tape cassette. I remember running home in anticipation of a good few hours on a new amazing game. I'd run in, pop it in the tape recorder of my c64, then begin to load the game. 3 hours later, after a few ''syntex errors'' and freezes i'd be playing some dodgey side scrolling platformer/ shoot em up.................Ahhhh, those were the days.
