Please help me i cant play my fav. games!

so over the last few days, i have been trying to fix this.(here is my previous discussion) http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26168323%26page=0i finally reformattred and reinstalled vista but the problem still lives! what do i do?everyone says my Computer is ok for vista and all. i really cant get xp back cause the disc broke. but is there a way to fix this problem while keeping my 250$ OS?also, anyone know when SP1 is cming out?
