what u think/////////////due to piracy many dev wont opting pc as a platform for their gamespiracy killing pc games//////////
It's doubtful. It's just as easy to pirate console games.piracy killing pc games//////////
since when has only PC games been pirated? of course its a little easier since consoles need to have mod chips but yah if your wondering why there areless PC exclusive titles its simply a case that consolesappear more accessible.
still ps3 and xbox360 tops the chart of sales............:(
That's not a piracy thing, that's an audience thing, thing about it is, most people like both PC and console gaming, with console, the benefit is everything works right out of the packege, no upgrading ram for some, video cards for others, etc, and it's way cheaper, for PC games, the graphics are better, controls schemes are usually better, etc, but, the far more accessible option is console, so, it sells way more.
I dont think its affecting the Pc devs that much......i mean, check the quality games that have come out to pc and wont be going to consoles.....
still ps3 and xbox360 tops the chart of sales............:(
Are u sure?Wow sold more than any of ps3 and x360 titles together
It's doubtful. It's just as easy to pirate console games.
Actually it's harder and requires more effort and the average console user doesn't know how to but the average PC gamer knows how.

still ps3 and xbox360 tops the chart of sales............:(
Are u sure?Wow sold more than any of ps3 and x360 titles together
If you put all the sales together of the consoles and PC's i'm pretty sure the PC would be something like 5%.
I dont agree one one point-that consoles are cheaper.I can build PC for price of any console out there that will be stronger than given console.Give me cost ofPS3 and i will build bether pc for its price. Not to mention that u get console with only 1 controler,so u must spend another 50$ on controler,or if u wish 3 games (poor games to add) u must pay 60$x3 (180$) which is verry good graphic card for PC.
On the piracy issue: It hurts pc gaming as much as it hurts any other gaming platform. It's still a minority of people pirating games in any case, but don't be foolish enough to think that it oly exist on the PC side of things. I can go and torrent a new 360 release just as easy. On the whole sales issue:Console games sell big. PC games sell big. A big reason why people don't realize the PC sales is that NPD can't track most of Pc game sales. Most pc games either deal with subscriptions (WoW over 10 million, Lineage2 over 15 million) or they make the bulk of their sales over digital distribution (Any source game). You can't track that. And then, most pc games totallyfly under the radar because for the most part you don't see huge multi million dollar ad campaigns for most pc games. I garuntee you that anyone saying pc games don't sell never thought about the sims. Including expansion packs, it has sold over 70 million units. 70 million! That's more than halo 1, 2 and 3 combined. PC games sell. It's just that certain games sell better on consoles. Thats just the way it is. And when you frequent a site like gamespot that slightly favors consoles (mainly because it's 3 vs 1 in this senario), thats mostly what you see. So it skews your perspective a bit.
If there was no piracy gaming will decrease by at least 55%
Piracy REALLY isn't active anymore. Everyone has a decent connection so they download the games, and that is allowed.
consoles, handhelds have piracy too u know...
still ps3 and xbox360 tops the chart of sales............:(
PC games overall sell better. Consoles just have those few games that sell a lot. PC games sell slower, but for a longer time. And there's more PC games to buy. People still buy ten years old games.Funcom stopped making singleplayer games (The Longest Journey) because of piracy. For every copy sold, it was pirates ten times.
what u think/////////////due to piracy many dev wont opting pc as a platform for their games
It's not because of piracy...It's because the PC is dynamic and consoles are static. It's easier to program for a static system.
to be honest, when I whas 12/13 I didn't have any money so I donwloaded most games ( only arround 5)but now im older, and I make it al up, I have been buying every game since I became 15

That's because you can't pirate an MMO. Piracy definitely hurts the PC as a gaming platform. How can it not? If don't want to take my word for it, maybe id Software co-owner Kevin Cloud can convince you:
''Piracy is hard. It's really -- from my opinion, destroying the PC market. ... when you look out there at the number of games that are getting pirated, it is just devastating. It's the primary reason retailers are moving to the console. It's something that's on every PC developer's mind -- on how to reduce [piracy]. Because, if you like the PC, you hate to see it fall lower and lower down.''
Or maybe Todd Hollenshead, CEO of id can:
''... the problem that this industry faces above all else is the piracy. There is about seventy-percent of the landmass of the world where you can't sell games in a legitimate market, because pirates will beat you to the shelves with your own game. ... you may literally have more games being played illegitimately than being played legitimately. So when you're giving up that much market to people who aren't paying for the games, or who are buying the games in ways in which the developers aren't getting paid for it, it creates a big challenge. Not only for the developers and publishers. But also for retailers, because they have to make bets when they buy their game inventory.''
Let's hear what Michael Russell of Ritual Entertainment has to say:
''Last week, the pirates outnumbered the true customers by almost five to one. It also takes time and resources to track down solutions to people's problems. I spent hours searching for answers to one guy's problem just to find out that when I asked him a question regarding a setting, he was checking on his friend's machine for the ''right'' answer and then on his machine and if the two didn't match, he was reporting the ''right'' answer so I wouldn't know he had a pirated version.''
So all you disgracegul pirates should stop making ridiculous excuses for your criminal behavior and realize the truth - YOU are killing PC gaming. One download at a time.

No matter what game developers will tell you, they never lose more money to piracy than they make to profits. The amount of people who can actually figure out how to pirate a game is very low, the people who actually prepare the games for piracy is even lower.
''Piracy'' is to the game industry like ''Global Warming'' is to politics. A fancy buzzword that attempts to instill a false truth among the masses.
