modding help

i am new to pc gameing and the first game i got was medal of honor allied assault. (it was $10) and i cant figure out how to run them. i try to start them but the console pops up and says ''cannot load default'' how can i get them to work?? in case this helps i have vistamodding help
uh.. what does this have to do with modding??just right click, go to compatability and run it in WinXP modemodding help
oh crap, i completely skipped the mods. i downloaded some and then the console came up and said cannot load defalt.
