hmmm everything seems to look fine there. Have you run a defrag of your hard drive?
ya
If its not software oriented, perhaps your computer is dusty inside which makes it get hot faster. Also does it have proper ventilation? As in its not covered in clothes, towels your girlfriends thong etc.
lol it could use a vaccuming i guess but could that really be it?
It could be slowing it down, but not as much as it seems to be. But keeping it clean always helps yes.
hmmmmmmill try that. but could it be anything else?
You could try hitting ctrl alt dlt and clicking the processes tab. If your doing nothing your computer should idle at 0%. 1% is also ok. Anything higher means something else is going on. Also, if your idle, there should only be 25-35 processes 40 being the MAX. if youve got more than that running you need to see what they are. Obviously dont close any that say the ''SYSTEM'' or SERVICE''.
k ill check that out thanks alot for your help
just format the disc and reinstall the windows
did you try disabling all startup programs, you are running aim and aol toolbar by the looksstart type ''msconfig'' in the search bardialog pops up, go to startup, disable all. restart computer and see how it performs. If it runs a lot better than one or more of those programs are screwing with you. I'd start with the aim and aol toolbars but thats just me :)
Format your computer. Its probably faster than finding the actual cause of it unless you know what you are looking for.
If that doesnt solve your problem then its probably because of your hardware (over heating due to dust or something).

anyone know how to format my harddrive
anyone know how to format my harddrive
do you have a brand name computer or custom build as brand name PC's somtimes just give you recovery cds and no original OS disk.
had no recovery disks and if i hit format it says i cant format because my OS is on that drive
Ok, personally I think all is caused because of your Vista system, Previously I've also played a game on my Vista system, the same problems began, like laggy, can't check map, can't check character status....and finally I can't tolerate, I reinstalled, switched from Vista back to Profession XP. What amazing, all is back to normal. Wish you can have a try.
